tables in time: mid-century modern

sometimes a style of furniture is defined by a particular detail or a combination of details that harkens back to an earlier time. In this case, the top of the legs expressed through the tops and the taper of those turned legs creates a feeling or impression of a style prevalent in furniture and architecture from around the 1950s, hence the moniker, Mid-Century Modern.
