built-in cabinetry as furniture
what made this project unique for me is that I was able to design it with furniture in mind; that is, every surface, every transition, every drawer, door and cabinet box was an opportunity to express the beauty of wood, cherry in this case and the usefulness of thought-out design. I think what made that possible is that I had more of an ‘in’ than I usually did as the client was an old college friend.
