a very unusual commission
a college classmate approached me and asked me to design and build a music stand he could use when he played guitar. main parameter: it would have to be adjustable to accommodate his playing while standing or sitting. a tall order. what I knew, and he probably didn’t, is that it would have to be well enough designed to be stable, easy to operate and look pretty. this one was a real head scratcher.
