Doors are furniture. They don’t look like furniture; that is, you can’t sit on them, store stuff inside or use them as the perennial storage favorite: horizontal surfaces. They are significant, though; they’re arguably the first detail someone notices about a house; they provide and easy to use and safe means of either closing off spaces or passing from one to another and lastly, they can represent all of the best features of handcrafted woodworking. In that connection, they are also integral parts of many cabinets.
