this piece was born as the result of a collaborative effort between me and the designer, Christopher Beggs, for a client of his in Manhattan. He had a particular 'mid-century modern' look he wanted to achieve but wasn't clear on how to get there which is where I came in. One of the beauties of this piece is that the simplicity of the design: two slabs of beautifully detailed walnut appearing to float on patinaed bronze rods and balls belies how difficult it was to make.
